I could care less

Which means that I do, in fact, care substantially. I care when people say things without giving any thought to their meaning. Words HAVE MEANING. If you want to convey an idea, pick the right (and preferably real) words to do so.

I feel this way irregardless of how you may have been taught. Its you're responsibility to keep yourself from sounding like a moron.

I could agree with you more.

Now let's talk about one of my pet peeves: the word irregardless. It means the same thing as "regardless," so why add the prefix?

Here's an excerpt from the entry for irregardless at Webster Online:
Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.

Of course, you could have been using it jokingly and I didn't get it...it's "3am in the morning" and the Makers Mark and percocets are treating me real good, so it's entirely possible I'm shirking my responsibility to keep myself from sounding like a moron.

Also, I should state for the record that I just discovered your blog today, that I'm a fan, and that I put you on my blogroll.

Here's a link to a post of mine dealing with guns, in case yer interested.

Cheers from a Jewish libertarian to a Christian libertarian!
